This group is designed to address issues of anger management through a cognitive behavioral perspective. Objectives: learn the triggers to anger, detect cognitive appraisals and distortions and learn ways to challenge this type of thinking style, identify own unique sequence of situational triggers, automatic thoughts, identified emotions, behavioral reactions and physiological responses as well as consequences to self and to others. Learn new ways to interrupt this sequence and plan effective cognitive, emotional and behavioral restructuring to enhance emotional regulation.
