|Dr. Lorraine Gahles-Kildow is a licensed psychologist in New Jersey. She received her MPhil and PhD from the City University of New York and received her M.A. from Long Island University - CW Post Center. Her area of expertise is in Cognitive Behavior Therapy as well as Applied Behavior Analysis. She has been in private practice for 10 years dealing with adults, teenagers and school age children on various issues related to depression, anxiety, OCD, phobias, trauma, PTSD, bereavement and grieving, impulse control, and anger management. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Lorraine has been an adjunct psychology professor for over 20 years at various universities and community colleges. She has taught such subjects as Introduction to Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Personality, Developmental Psychology and Psychology in Business and Industry. She is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Raritan Valley Community College. She has also been an Instructor at the Princeton Center for Teacher Education, a Montessori teacher training center for the past 10 years. She teaches 3 child developmental characteristics courses that she specifically designed for this center. These courses teach about cognitive, physical, and social-emotional developmental characteristics within specific age ranges, for example, infant-todder development, 6-9 yr old development, and 9-12 year old development. Prior to entering into private practice, Dr. Gahles-Kildow worked for many years as a therapist in a Mental Health clinic for Developmentally Disabled adults with a dual diagnosis and in a subspecialty clinic for sexual offenders within this population. She is a member of APA and NJPA.
